Turn off the Water Supply:
- Ensure the water supply to the Chiller is turned off to prevent any accidental water flow.
Remove the Water Filter Bowl:
- Unscrew the water filter bowl by turning it counterclockwise. If necessary, use the provided water filter wrench for additional grip.
Inspect the O-Ring:
- Carefully remove the O-ring from its groove inside the filter housing.
- Inspect the O-ring for signs of wear, cracks, or deformities. If damaged, it will need to be replaced.
Clean the O-Ring and Filter Housing:
- Clean both the O-ring and the groove inside the filter housing. Any dirt or debris may prevent a proper seal and cause leaks.
- Ensure everything is dry before proceeding.
Reposition the O-Ring:
- Before repositioning, gently stretch the O-ring by placing it over your fingers and pulling it very slightly to ensure it fits between the filter bowl wall and the inside lip of the filter bowl.
- Be careful not to overstretch the O-ring, as making it too large may prevent it from fitting properly. If this happens, you may need to wait for it to return to its original shape.
- Once stretched slightly, carefully place the O-ring into the groove, ensuring it sits against the back wall of the filter bowl and does not hang over the inside of the filter ring.
Reattach the Water Filter Bowl:
- Screw the water filter bowl back in place by turning it clockwise. Tighten it firmly by hand, but avoid overtightening, as this can damage the O-ring or the filter bowl.
Check for Leaks:
- Turn the water supply back on and inspect the filter bowl for any signs of leaking.
- If there is any leakage, repeat the steps, paying special attention to the O-ring’s position.
Final Test:
Run the Chiller for a few minutes to ensure there are no leaks from the water filter bowl.
If the Water Filter is Still Leaking:
Repeat the Process:
- If the bowl is still leaking after following the steps above, repeat the process. Pay special attention to ensuring the O-ring is sitting correctly in the groove and is not twisted or misaligned.
Check O-Ring Condition:
- Double-check the O-ring for any signs of damage, as even small imperfections can cause leaks. If the O-ring seems damaged, it may need to be replaced.
Contact Support:
- If the issue persists after several attempts, it could indicate an issue with the filter bowl or another component. In that case, please reach out to customer support for further assistance or replacement parts.
